How Mvuvi BlueConnect Works
Three ways into the network, depending on which side of the catch you are on.
If you have a catch to store
For fishers and fish farmers who need their catch cold before it loses value.
Find a facility near your landing site
Search by town, county or facility name. Each listing shows available space in kilograms, the temperature range it holds, its power source and its operating hours — including whether night drop-off is available.
Book the space you need
Book as a member or as a guest. You pay per kilogram per day, so you are only charged for what you actually store.
Drop off and track
Your batch is logged against the facility. Storage conditions are recorded against it so the cold chain is documented rather than assumed.
Sell when the price is right
Cold storage buys you time. Instead of accepting the first offer before the fish turns, you can list the stock on the marketplace and sell to a verified buyer.
If you are buying fish
For traders, Mama Samaki, restaurants, processors and wholesalers sourcing quality stock.
Browse by species
Tilapia, Nile perch, catfish and omena, with live stock levels aggregated across the facilities holding them.
See where it is held
Every listing shows which certified facilities hold the stock and in what quantity, so you know the location and the cold chain before you commit.
Inquire directly
Contact us on WhatsApp with the quantity you need. You get current pricing and pickup details for that specific stock.
Verify what you receive
Batches carry a scannable record covering origin and the facility that held them, so traceability is checkable rather than claimed.
If you own a cold storage facility
For cooperatives, landing-site cooling hubs and private cold store owners with unused capacity.
Community discovery
We start with a conversation to understand your landing site’s needs and the community you serve.
Hub enrollment
List your cooling assets — from charcoal coolers to solar-powered units — in the shared network.
Quality support
Our local team visits to help you meet the Community Stewardship Standards and get the hub ready.
Go live
Your facility appears in the public directory, takes bookings, and connects your community’s catch to reliable buyers.
